TNC25 in Brighton - Monday 9/6-2025

Pictures from the other days
Monday is used for various side meetings before the main conference starts. For me, this Monday, it was the GÉNT General Assembly, taking place in the DoubleTree Hotel

In this big meeting room with no windows

As this is a closed meeting, I will not share pictures from it here, except this welcome from Lise Fuhr, the GÉANT CEO.

In the lunch break, it is nice to get a bit of fresh air and admire the Brighton i360 movable observation platform

The upper part of this building is, however, close for the public due to restoration works

The old West Pier

Which now serves as a place where the cormorants can dry their wings

Lunch served from an IKEA bookshelf

A very clever name ;-)

A groyne (the small pier) with a doughnut sculpture. Why just a doughnut and not, say, an ice cream, is a mystery to me.

Artur Bincewski from PSCC on his way to the GA dinner. Some of us have a hard time adjusting to not calling it PSNC. First impressions last.
